Recently questions were asked about reporting to AUXDATA Radio Watch activities.
Below are some guidelines for processing radio communications paperwork:
Please ensure that Comms personnel along with your FSO-IS personnel are aware of these provisions of the Operations Manual, and that they record communications activities correctly in AUXDATA.

PLEASE SEND THIS TO ALL SO-OP AND SO-IS STAFF SO THEY MAY GET THE WORD OUT TO ALL OF THE OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL.
IT HAS COME TO OUR
ATTENTION THAT "SAR CALL OUT" CODE 25 IS
BEING USED ON THE 7030 (MISSION REPORT) WHEN A SAR MISSION IS PERFORMED.
THE 25 CODE "SAR CALL OUT" IS USED ONLY WHEN CALLED OUT BY ORDER ISSUING AUTHORITY.
AUTHORITY IS DEFINED AS "COAST GUARD", IE.
SECTOR OHIO VALLEY (SOHV), MARINE SAFETY UNIT (MSU) OR
MARINE SAFETY DETACHMENT (MSD).
ALL OTHER SAR MISSION UNDER ORDERS WILL BE CODED AS 24 SAR OPS.
A SECOND MISSION
CODE HAS BEEN USED INCORRECTLY ALSO,
A 27 CODE ELT.( ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS AND TREATIES) SUPPORT MISSION.
THIS CODE IS NOT
TO BE USED BY THE SURFACE OPERATION PERSONNEL.
IF YOU BELIEVE THERE IS A SITUATION WHEN THIS CODE SHOULD BE
USED, CHECK VIA CHAIN OF LEADERSHIP BEFORE ENTERING ON MISSION REPORT.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP,

TCT 1-hour workshop which is mandatory for 2007,
just hold the paperwork until the workshop is added to AUXDATA and have the FSO/SO-IS enter the
